Amante> Lover in Italian.
The Wild Amante series was a personal project, a reflective process that allowed me to confront and embrace my own evolution. The word “Amante,” meaning “Lover” in Italian, encapsulates the essence of this project: a love letter to myself, to my past, and to the multiple selves I’ve experienced over the years.
At its core, this series was about stripping away the layers that your career, previous incarnations and perceived identities placed on us—layers of beauty standards, social media conditioning, and expectations. To truly see oneself as you truly are. I allowed the rawness of makeup-free self-portraits. These images were captured in their purest form, undressed and unrefined, allowing the viewer—myself included—to witness a true representation of self in the present.

In some of these portraits, I chose to blend the present with the past—incorporating photos of myself taken a decade ago. This blending of past and present was not just a visual exercise; it became a therapeutic exploration of timelines. When you remove the veneer of beauty ideals and let the images speak for themselves, you are left with something deeply intimate. The process was uncomfortable at times, but in that discomfort, there was healing.

What made this project truly special was its complete detachment from any commercial considerations. There were no goals tied to monetary viability, no expectations of data-driven outcomes or social media validation. It was purely about the creative process. As a content creator and Creative Director, I often find myself balancing artistic expression with frameworks, strategy, and cause-driven insights. But with Wild Amante, I allowed the creative process to unfold naturally, without the constraints of commercial pressures.
This series is a return to the roots of creativity—unapologetic and free. It’s a reminder of the power of self-expression when it is untethered from the demands of the outside world.
